Hi, I’m Chrissy, the artist behind Mrs. Dakota Logger.

I’m a North Dakota wife, mom and chainsaw carver who discovered a passion for turning ordinary pieces of wood into something worth keeping.

What started as curiosity quickly became an obsession. Every log, branch or board has the potential to become something completely different - whatever the wood inspires. I love the challenge of looking at a piece of wood and seeing what it could become. Most of my carvings are created using chainsaws, grinders, and hand tools. I enjoy creating wildlife carvings, rustic decor, memorial pieces, custom signs, and one-of-a-kind artwork that celebrates the outdoors and the people who love it.

I believe handmade items should have character. That’s why I don’t try to hide every carving mark or every natural feature in the wood. Real wood moves, changes, and tells its own story over time. Every piece I create is unique, and no two carvings will ever be exactly alike.

When I’m not carving, you’ll usually find me working with my family, spending time outdoor, or dreaming up the next project that’s probably bigger than it should be.
